The Aim Of The Program: The program is opened in the 2002-2003 Academic Year at Samsun Vocational High School and accepted students for the Evening Education. However, the program is separated from Samsun Vocational High School in the 2011-2012 Academic Year and continues its education at Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik Vocational High School. By the fall semester of 2013-2014, the program started to accept students for the normal education as well and continues to give education in both daytime and evening programs.
The aim of the program is to meet the demands of intermediary staff for the automotive sector. The courses taught at the program are designed so as to educate members who can recognize the variety of the alternative device types, diesel motor, gas motor; who can repair all kinds of impairments belonging to the equipment of mechanical and electronic devices; who can use all kinds of testing and checking devices that technological improvements require, and who have the ability of rapid problem solving through internet and computer technologies by accessing to device catalogue data. At the end of the program, students get a pre-bachelor diploma.
Since our high school is placed in the commercial region, it offers practical education opportunity for students in both private and public administrations. The practice of theoretical knowledge and updated technological developments are also provided according to the content of the courses. Due to the collaboration between the university and trade center, the opportunity of employment for the students and graduates is increasing.
Qualification Required: Students, who graduate from the fields of Mechanics, Automotive Technology, Agricultural Machines, Plane Technology, and etc. from Secondary Vocational and Technical Schools, can register for the program without exam.

Graduation Requirements And Degree: Students get a pre-bachelor diploma with the title of Automotive Technology. Students completing at least 120 ECTS of courses gain the right to have an associate degree. Students have to complete successfully the industry-based education (30 work days) before graduation. They have to complete at least %30 of attendance requirement for a 14-week course period (%20 for practical courses) and have to pass the semester at least with a score of 60.
Work Opportunities For The Graduates: Employment Opportunities After Graduation Graduates can be promoted to public departments requiring technicians by entering into KPSS pre-bachelor exam. They work as automotive technicians in automotive companies. They also take roles in various jobs from group leadership in service departments to selling group leadership and staff education. They can also find jobs in minor trades such as manufacturing and production techniques.
Vertical Transfer Opportunities Students can transfer to the related departments of universities according to their exam scores by entering into Vertical Transition Exam made by ÖSYM every year. Faculties that have the opportunity of vertical transfer for our program are:
