50002 Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik Meslek Yüksekokulu - Yeşilyurt Demir Celik Vocational School With the offer of the Ondokuz Mayis University Rectorate and the decree of the Board of Higher Education dated to January 19, 2011, our School began education with the transfer of the Electric and Energy Technologies Department, Electric Programme; Electronics and Automation Department, Electronics Technology Programme; Motored Devices and Transporting Technologies Department, Automotive Technology Programme; and the decree dated to May 12, 2011, the Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies Department, Chemical Technology Programme which were active under the Samsun Vocational School. Our aim is to train qualified intermediate staff using advanced technological facilities throughout training putting emphasis on the cooperation of university and industry. Our School has an indoor area of about 19.000 square meters and houses 22 classrooms, 2 Computer Laboratories, 1 Physics Laboratory, 4 Departmental laboratories, 1 Technical Drawing Room, 1 Seminar Hall, 1 Lecture Hall and 1 Conference Hall. Using effectively any kind of resources, our mission is to train productive, researching, self-reliant individuals loyal to social values who contribute to the social and cultural life, possess professional knowledge and skills and can adapt to constantly changing situations in order to meet the qualified human resources need of the business world and various institutions and producing new projects in cooperation sector partners, to accelerate the progress period.
