ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
Following the proposal of the Rectorate of Ondokuz Mayıs University and the decision of the Higher Education Council on January 19, 2011, the Chemistry and Chemical Processing Technologies Department, previously part of Samsun Vocational School, was transferred to Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik Vocational School. Within this department, the Chemical Technology Program continues its educational activities.
The primary aim is to train qualified vocational personnel in the fields under Chemical Technology, taking into account the needs of the industry and in line with scientific and technological developments. In this context, the department seeks to contribute to the development of our country’s skilled workforce and industry by educating chemistry technicians who are knowledgeable in basic chemistry and chemical technology, capable of applying their knowledge and experience in practical applications, open to social and technological innovations, entrepreneurial, productive, respectful to humans and the environment, and self-confident.
