ABOUT DEPARTMENT
With the proposal of the Presidency of Ondokuz Mayıs University and the decision of the Higher Education Council dated 19 January 2011, the Automotive Technology program, which was separated from Samsun Vocational School and incorporated into Yeşilyurt Demir Çelik Vocational School under the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, has continued its educational activities.
Program Profile The program aims to train qualified professionals who have the skills to design, manufacture, and assemble the structures required to develop new systems that meet the needs of the automotive industry, and who can work in the design and production units of relevant industrial enterprises. In addition to compulsory courses, the curriculum includes vocational courses and elective courses that contribute to students’ professional development.
Graduate Employment Profiles Graduates of the Automotive Technology program, based on the competencies they acquire in their chosen field, can work in: • Engine repair workshops • Motor vehicle technical service centers • Auto-electrical service units • Factories producing engines and vehicles • Sub-industry enterprises in technical service, fault diagnosis, maintenance-repair units, and similar areas.
