The Aim Of The Program: Mechatronics is a modern engineering discipline that integrates mechanical, electronics, control and software engineering. Mechatronics technicians focus on the design and control of a wide range of electro-mechanical devices, ranging from products encountered in daily life such as ATM’s and vending machines to complex smart machines used in manufacturing and precision robots used in surgical operations.
Qualification Required: Candidates, who graduate from the related fields of Vocational and Technical Secondary Schools, have the right to transfer to the related program without exam. The list of High Education Programs about their fields is determined by ÖSYM for the candidates.
Graduation Requirements And Degree: Graduates successfully completing their program become Mechatronics Technician and get a pre-bachelor degree of Mechatronics Program. Students completing at least 120 ECTS of courses gain the right to have an associate degree. Students have to complete successfully the industry-based education (30 work days) before graduation.
Work Opportunities For The Graduates: The Department of Mechatronics conducts research on mechanic product design, control and programming. Research studies focus on:
Robotics
Bio-mechatronics
Smart Materials
Automotive
Research studies in robotic fields concentrate on topics such as micro/nano robots and adaptable robots. Research interests include modeling and control of alternatively fueled vehicles and unmanned air vehicles.
