Program Objective:
The program aims to train qualified Industrial Mold Technicians with high levels of professional knowledge and skills, who can easily adapt to the business world and technological developments. In this program, which provides employment opportunities in both the public and private sectors, students learn to use machinery and measuring instruments, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, prepare technical reports and projects, and ensure workplace and personnel safety.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates who have graduated from relevant fields of Vocational and Technical Secondary Education Institutions are eligible to transfer to this program without an entrance exam. The list of higher education programs that candidates can enter based on their respective fields is determined by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center).
Graduation Requirements and Degree:
Graduates who successfully complete the program are awarded an Associate Degree in Industrial Mold Technology. Students must successfully complete courses totaling at least 120 ECTS credits to qualify for the degree. Prior to graduation, students are required to successfully complete industry-based training at least 30 working days before their graduation.
Employment Opportunities for Graduates:
Industrial Mold Technicians can work in public and private sector factories in technical offices, mold workshops, production workshops, or quality control units, holding positions such as foreman, workshop supervisor, or similar roles. Those working in technical offices serve as a bridge between industrial vocational high school graduates and mechanical engineers. An Industrial Mold Technician is an intermediary who understands the language of the technical draftsman, thanks to their knowledge of drawing techniques, and the engineer, due to their understanding of design and engineering principles.
Graduates of the Industrial Mold Technology program can work in line with the competencies they acquire in their chosen field/profession in:
